“THERE’S STILL 90 MINUTES LEFT.” –MIGUEL HERRERA
Club Tijuana coach looks ahead at quarterfinals second leg vs. Club Leon
LEON, Mexico – (Nov. 24, 2016)- Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles coach Miguel Herrera is looking at the next match, the second leg of the LIGA MX 2016 Apertura quarterfinals. And he sees it as a chance at redemption after a 3-0 loss at Club Leon in the first leg Wednesday night.
“As long as there are 90 minutes left, there is time to make a comeback,” Herrera said. “If we allowed three goals, we can also score them.”
The Xoloitzcuintles will need to come out looking to score against Leon Saturday night at Estadio Caliente to stay alive in the playoffs and find a spot in the semifinals.
Herrera talked about how important it is to support his players to keep confidence and come back strong at home where the team has done great things this season.
“We need to kill ourselves out there so we can make that comeback, Herrera said. “We will come out Saturday playing for it all with our people behind us, looking to get the result we want.”
The Xoloitzcuintles return to Tijuana Thursday for the second leg of the quarterfinals series. Club Tijuana will train at Estadio Caliente Thursday night.
