FABIÁN CASTILLO LLEGA AL CLUB TIJUANA
El delantero colombiano se une al Cuadro Fronterizo para encarar el
Apertura 2018
Tijuana, Baja California, 26 de julio de 2018._ El Club Tijuana
incorporó al plantel al delantero colombiano Fabián Castillo,
proveniente del Trabzonspo, de la Superliga de Turquía.
Castillo, de 26 años, realizó su debut profesional en su natal
Colombia, con el Deportivo Cali.
En 2011, emigró a la MLS para convertirse en jugador de FC Dallas. El
delantero llegó a Turquía en agosto del 2016, y permaneció hasta la
primera mitad del 2018.
Fabián Castillo cuenta con experiencia en la Selección Nacional de
Colombia, en la que debutó en 2015 ante el cuadro Peruano.
El nuevo refuerzo Xoloitzcuintle se unió al resto del plantel Rojinegro
y llevó a cabo su primera práctica en las instalaciones del Estadio
Caliente.

Colombian striker is added to 2018 Apertura roster
TIJUANA (July 26, 2018) –Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles has signed Fabian
Castillo to the 2018 Apertura roster. The Colombian striker comes
Turkish side Trabzonspor.
The 26-year-old from Cali, Colombia joins the Xoloitzcuintles and is
slated to be available for coach Diego Cocca to use in the current
tournament. Castillo played in 35 matches for Trabzonspor where he
played since Aug. 2016.
The speedy striker known for his canny dribbling skills also played for
Major League Soccer’s FC Dallas from 2011 to 2016. He was an All-Star
team selection with Dallas in 2015. He played in 159 matches with the
MLS side. The slashing winger came to MLS as a raw 18-year-old talent,
terrorizing teams with his speed and one-on-one dubious ability,
especially on the counterattack. Before joining MLS, Castillo played for
Deportivo Cali in his home nation.
The winger also has international experience. He played in three games
for Colombia. He was first called up to the senior national team in
2015, making a full debut against Peru.
Castillo was also part of Colombia’s Under-17 (2009-2010) national team
and the Under-20 squad (2011-2012).
