XOLOITZCUINTLES READY FOR THE LIGA MX 2020 GUARD1ANES SEASON
Fabian Castillo completes Club Tijuana’s list of new players
TIJUANA (July 21, 2020) -Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles is ready for the
start of the Guard1anes 2020 LIGA MX season that is set to begin this
week. Club Tijuana opens the season against Atlas de Guadalajara
Saturday July 25 at Estadio Caliente.
The team officially signed Fabian Castillo Tuesday to complete the list
of new players for this upcoming season. This will be Castillo’s second
stint with the Xoloitzcuintles after playing with the team in the 2018
Apertura and 2019 Clausura. The 28-year-old is more experienced and will
try to give his best talent with Club Tijuana this time around.
The Colombian forward last played with Club Queretaro but before coming
to Mexican soccer, he played with Trabzonspos of the Superliga in
Turkey. He made his pro debut in Colombia with Deportivo Cali. He went
on to play in MLS in 2011 for FC Dallas, later heading to Turkey in
August of 2016 and played there until 2018. Castillo also has national
team experience. He made his national team debut in 2015 in a game
against Peru.
