Segundo triunfo al hilo para Xoloitzcuintles Sub 20
Los juveniles Rojinegros llegan a seis puntos tras ganar a Tigres en la
fecha 2 del Clausura 2019.
Tijuana, Baja California a 12 de enero a 2019._ La categoría Sub 20 de
Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de Caliente derrotó 1-0 en la segunda
jornada de la Liga MX a su similar de Tigres de la UANL en su
presentación como local en el Mictlán en el naciente campeonato
mexicano.
A los 23 minutos de la primera mitad, el tijuanense Luis Gamiz puso
arriba en el encuentro a los Canes Rojinegros con un disparo cruzado que
venció al guardameta felino.
Con gran despliegue físico y futbolístico, el canterano Iván Tona, se
mostraba como el péndulo fustbolistico de los Perros Prehispánicos,
buscando ser constantemente el primer pase de salida y de proyección
ofensiva para Xolos.
Para la segunda mitad del cotejo, el equipo regiomontano se quedó con
un elemento menos por la expulsión expulsión del capitán Raúl Torres por
doble amonestación.
El cuadro Canino tuvo un par de opciones de gol en los botines de los
delanteros Samuel López y Alexis Mendivil, sin embargo, un par de
achiques del guardameta felino Marcos Barbosa evitaron que Tijuana
obtuviera la victoria por un marcador más amplio.
En la Fecha 3 del campeonato juvenil, Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles de
Caliente visitaran al Club León.

Xoloitzcuintles 1-0 Tigres UANL 2019 Clausura Week 2
TIJUANA (Jan. 12, 2019) –Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles earned another
three points in the LIGA MX 2019 Clausura standings with a 1-0 win
against visiting Tigres UANL Saturday at Estadio Caliente.
Luis Gamiz scored for coach Franky Oviedo’s team in the Week 2 match
and home opener for the Under-20 team. Gamiz scored after he brought
down a ball with his chest, let it bounce and fired a right-footed shot
in the 23rd minute. It is all the Xoloitzcuintles needed against a
short-handed Tigres.
Club Tijuana is now 2-0 with six points in the standings as it heads
into its Week 3 road match at Leon Jan. 20.
Raul Torres was sent off early in the second half for his second yellow
card of the night. Tigres also finishes without its head coach. Hernan
Elizondo was ejected at the start of the second half for arguing with
the referee and fourth official.
Club Tijuana was able to move the ball a bit more fluidly after the
Torres ejection despite already owning possession in the first half.
Oviedo’s team showed a fluid brand of soccer with a handful of players
standing out. One of those was Ivan Tona who helped set up many
efficient passes and covered ground all over the pitch when needed.
Osciel De La Cruz also displayed his speed and ability to move
throughout the field with the ball.
