8vos de Final frente al Atlético de San Luis
Tijuana, Baja California, 27 de Enero de 2020._ El Club Tijuana
enfrentará este martes 28 de Enero al Club Atlético de San Luis en el
duelo de Vuelta de Octavos de Final de la COPA MX-Clausura 2020. Previo
al choque definitivo por el pase a 4tos de Final, los juveniles
Rojinegros Carlos Higuera y Víctor Guzmán, analizaron la serie de 8vos
de Final frente al Atlético San Luis, la cual vivirá el segundo partido
entre ambos en el Estadio Caliente (19:10 horas Pacífico).
El guardameta sinaloense Carlos Higuera resaltó la mentalidad con la
que el grupo enfrenta la COPA MX y lo que significa para él como juvenil
tener la plataforma de jugar este torneo.
“Es muy importante para nuestro desarrollo, son escenarios muy
diferentes comparados a los que vivimos en categorías inferiores y esta
oportunidad de la Copa tenemos que aprovecharla”, comentó el arquero
seleccionado nacional Sub20.
“La Liga y la Copa son torneos diferentes, los que nos toca jugar la
Copa estamos concentrados en ganar, jugar tranquilos y pasar a la
siguiente ronda”, agregó Higuera.
El recién debutado en Copa MX, el defensa Víctor Guzmán analizó lo que
significo su primera participación con el primer equipo Xoloitzcuintle y
señaló que tienen clara la intención del equipo que es vencer al San
Luis.
“El Atlético de San Luis es un equipo muy vertical, en casa nosotros
somos muy fuertes y debemos tener la pelota, tenemos la ventaja en el
marcador y creo que eso nos hace más fuerte”, señaló Guzmán.
Sobre su debut dijo: “Fue un muy buen debut, me quedé muy feliz y
contento con haberlo logrado, todos mis compañeros se acercaron a
apoyarme y poder disfrutarlo de la mejor manera, pero no estoy
satisfecho, quiero seguir creciendo, debutar también en la Liga y seguir
creciendo”, comentó el futbolista tijuanense, quien surgió de la
academia de futbol del Club Tijuana, el Centro de Iniciación
Xoloitzcuintle.

TIJUANA (Jan. 27, 2020)- Club Tijuana Xoloitzcuintles hosts Atletico
San Luis in the second leg of the Copa MX Round of 16 Tuesday at Estadio
Caliente.
Goalkeeper Carlos Higuera spoke about the team’s mentality heading into
the game.
“It’s very important for our development,” Higuera said. “It’s a
different scenario than what we are used to in the youth categories. The
Copa is an opportunity for us and we need to take advantage of it.
“The league and Copa are different tournaments and those of us who get
to play in the Copa are focused on winning and making it to the next
round.”
Guzman, who made his pro debut in the first leg of the home and home
series, spoke about what the team faces against Atletico San Luis.
“Atletico San Luis is a vertical team and we are strong at home and we
must have possession,” Guzman said. “We have the lead in the aggregate
score and that gives us the advantage.
Club Tijuana beat San Luis in the first leg last week.
Guzman spoke about making his debut in that game.
“It was a good debut,” Guzman said. “I am happy to have been able to do
it. All my teammates supported me and helped me live it to the best of
my ability. But I’m not satisfied. I want to keep growing. I also want
to make my debut in the first division.
